Mental health

Steady, respectful support for adults living with mental health conditions.

Living with a mental health condition can affect every part of daily life, from sleep and routine to confidence, relationships and the motivation to do the things that matter. With the right support, many people manage well and live full, independent lives at home.

We support adults living with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and personality disorders. We do not see a diagnosis, we see a person, and we shape support around what helps them feel settled, safe and in control.

Our approach is calm, consistent and led by the person. Recovery is rarely a straight line, so we focus on the things that steady a week: routine, rest, eating well, taking medication as prescribed, and staying connected to the people and activities that give life meaning.

Mental health does not exist in isolation, and neither does our support. We work closely with families and with community mental health teams, so that everyone is pulling in the same direction and early signs of someone becoming unwell are noticed and acted on.

What support can look like

  • Gentle help to build and keep a daily routine that works
  • Prompting and support with medication, appointments and reviews
  • Someone to talk to, and company on a difficult day
  • Support to shop, cook, manage money and look after the home
  • Encouragement to stay connected with friends, family, work and community
  • Noticing early warning signs and responding before things reach a crisis

How we support people

  • A consistent team who get to know the person and what keeps them well
  • Support with routine, structure and everyday living
  • Medication prompting and support, in line with the person’s plan
  • Help to attend appointments and access community services
  • Working alongside families and community mental health teams
  • A focus on recovery, confidence and independence

Working together

Joined-up support around the person

Good mental health support is a team effort. We work alongside GPs, community mental health teams, care coordinators and social workers, and we keep families involved in the way the person wants.

We believe in the least restrictive approach: supporting people to make their own choices and take positive risks, with the right safeguards in place.

Families includedWe work with families and the people who know the person best.
Professionals alignedWe join up with social workers and health teams.

Questions

Mental health, answered

What mental health conditions do you support?

We support adults living with a range of mental health conditions. Rather than focusing on a label, we focus on what each person needs day to day to stay well and live independently. If you are not sure whether we can help, please ask.

Can support change if someone becomes unwell?

Yes. Needs change over time, and our support flexes with them. We review plans regularly, watch for early warning signs, and can increase support during a difficult period and ease it again as someone recovers.

Do you work with the NHS and community mental health teams?

We do. Where someone has a care coordinator or a community mental health team, we work alongside them so that support joins up rather than working in isolation.
